
On June 30, 2025, an official oath-taking ceremony was held with the participation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, for judges appointed to the position for the first time.
Ten judges took the oath: nine of them are from local general courts and one is from commercial court. They were appointed by Presidential Decrees, following the results of the competitions for the position of a judge, announced by the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the HQCJU, Andrii Pasichnyk; the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Iryna Mudra; the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy, Denys Maslov; the President of the Supreme Court, Stanislav Kravchenko; the Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Hryhorii Usyk.
The newly appointed judges come from various regions of Ukraine: two from Lviv region, and one each from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions.
A person appointed to the position of a judge for the first time acquires judicial powers after taking the oath during a ceremonial event in the presence of the President of Ukraine.
