USAID FAIR Justice Project conducted the Rule of Law Donors and Implementers Meeting

The representatives of the Commission took part in the monthly meetings of Rule of Law Donors and Implementers Meeting, which was organized by Justice Project (FAIR) on April 1, 2015.

Among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the High Council of Justice, Supreme Court of Ukraine, State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, international projects, Non-governmental organizations and foreign diplomatic missions.

Mr.Gia Getsadze, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, who spoke about the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, including the improvement of the State Registration Service and State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine was invited at the meeting.

During the meeting was raised the issue of reforming the system of civil registration, privatization of services in justice reform as an example of notaries in Ukraine, the introduction of a probation system in Ukraine.

Separately, Deputy Minister focused on the issue of the development of the legal aid system. In particular, Mr. Getsadze assured participants that according to the planned legislative changes citizens who belong to the category of internally displaced persons from the area of ATO will be included in the list of persons who provided legal aid.

"We have to be ready to really qualitative rather than declarative level of services provided by government to its citizens", - said Mr.Gia Getsadze.
