On 8 October 2026, a solemn oath-taking ceremony for newly appointed first-time judges was held with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Thirty judges took the oath: six from the High Anti-Corruption Court, five from local general and commercial courts, and nineteen from general, administrative and commercial courts of appeal. They were appointed by decrees of the President of Ukraine following competitions announced by the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.

The event was attended by Halyna Shevchuk, Acting Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine; Hryhorii Usyk, Chairman of the High Council of Justice; Stanislav Kravchenko, President of the Supreme Court; and Vitalii Salikhov, Chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine.

The judges will administer justice in various regions of Ukraine: 12 in Kyiv, 4 in Odesa Oblast, 3 each in Zakarpattia and Chernihiv Oblasts, 2 each in Zaporizhzhia, Lviv and Kharkiv Oblasts, and 1 each in Zhytomyr and Kyiv Oblasts.
