242 Participants Have Been Recognised as Winners of the Competition for Local Administrative Courts

On 23 September 2026, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, sitting in plenary composition, considered the approval of the ranking of participants and the determination of the winners of the competition for vacant judicial positions in local administrative courts within the competition announced by the Commission on 4 August 2026.

Following the competition, the Commission approved the ranking, the successful part of which included 242 participants.

Among the winners, there are 129 women and 113 men. By age, the largest group is made up of candidates aged 30 to 39, namely 192 persons; another 49 candidates are aged 40 to 48, and one candidate is 54 years old.

By professional background, 117 are court staff members, 37 are prosecution service employees, 22 are advocates, 15 are judges, 6 are military service members, and 45 fall into other categories. Seventeen candidates hold the academic degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences, and one holds the degree of Doctor of Legal Sciences.

The next stage for the candidates will be interviews with the Commission, during which the candidates’ compliance with the criteria of integrity and professional ethics will be assessed. The date and time of the interviews will be announced additionally.

Please be reminded, that 268 candidates submitted applications to the Commission to participate in the competition for vacant judicial positions in local administrative courts, of whom 263 persons were admitted to the competition.

On 17 September 2026, the ranking was formed. Twenty-one candidates withdrew from participation. As a result of the formation of the ranking of competition participants, it was established that the competition for 30 judicial positions in local administrative courts did not take place, as no candidates expressed their intention to take up the respective judicial positions.
