We hereby announce that on December 15–16, 2023, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine formed a rating of participants in the competition for 500 positions of judges of local general courts within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision of September 14, 2023, № 95/zp-23.

On December 15, 2023, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine launched an unprecedented open competition to fill 550 vacant positions of appellate court judges.
On December 11–12, 2023, the members of the Commission Liudmyla Volkova, Oleh Koliush and Roman Sabodash took part in the National Ukrainian Judicial Forum held in Dnipro.
On December 18, 2023, at the meetings of the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were held, and the results of the qualification evaluation of 15 local court judges for their suitability for the position were determined.
Based on the results of the qualification evaluation for compliance with the position held, the Commission made the following decisions:
On December 18, 2023, the Panel of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meeting, considered the issue of submitting a motion to the High Council of Justice to dismiss a judge from his or her position.
Based on the results of the qualification evaluation, three judges were found to not correspond to the position held. The Commission decided to submit a motion to the HCJ for dismissal:
The Commission’s members Vitalii Gatseliuk, Roman Kydysiuk and Halyna Shevchuk took part in the International Judicial Conference “The role of the judiciary in overcoming the challenges of war” held in Lviv on December 8 and 9, 2023.
On December 14, 2023, the Panel of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meeting, held interviews and determined the results of the qualification evaluation of two local court judges for their compliance with the position held.
Based on the results of the qualification evaluation for the compliance with the position held, the Commission made the following decisions:
On December 15 and 16, 2023, the Commission will form a rating of candidates for the position of a judge in local general courts. At this stage of the competition, 394 candidates will choose among 500 vacant positions of judges in local courts of general jurisdiction.
On December 14, 2023, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meeting, considered the issue of recommendations of Stella Tsybizova for appointment to the position of judge of the Poltavskyi Raion Court of Poltava Oblast.
