On September 13, 2024, Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Andrii Pasichnyk and Deputy Chairman Oleksii Omelian took part in a meeting with the heads of the appellate courts held at the Supreme Court.   

The main focus of the meeting was on the current state of administration of justice in the courts and the problems of the functioning of the judiciary. 

On September 12, 2024, the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, held interviews and determined the results of the qualification evaluation of three local court judges for their suitability for the position held.

Please be informed that on September 11, 2024, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to schedule a qualification exam during the qualification evaluation within the framework of the competition for vacant positions of judges in the appellate court announced by the Commission’s decision of
September 14, 2023, № 94/zp-23 (as amended).

On September 10, 2024, the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, held interviews, determined the results of the qualification evaluation of three local court judges for their suitability for the position and the results of the initial qualification evaluation of one judge.

On September 09, 2024, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine hosted a meeting with representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) – Head of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Team at the USAID Office of Democracy and Governance in Ukraine Amanda Fagerblom, Democracy Project Management Specialist Office of Democracy and Governance Oleksandr Piskun, Project Management Specialist (Rule of Law) in USAID Ukraine Kyrylo Anisimov, Chief of Party of the USAID “Justice for All” Program David Vau

On September 06, 2024, a roundtable discussion on “Optimization of the court network in Ukraine: current state, challenges and prospects” was held in Kyiv, with the participation of the Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Andrii Pasichnyk, as well as members of the Commission Volodymyr Luhanskyi and Halyna Shevchuk.

On September 04, 2024, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of recommending Dmytro Myroshnychenko for appointment as a judge of the Oleksandrivskyi Raion Court of Kirovohrad Oblast.

A judge who has been appointed for a term of five years before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding Judiciary)” shall be evaluated for congruence for the position in accordance with the procedure established by law.

On September 03, 2024, the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, held interviews and determined the results of the qualification evaluation of seven local court judges for their suitability for the position.

The Public Council of International Experts (PCIE) has conducted an orientation session attended by representatives of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine (HQCJU).

On August 19, 2024, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered in plenary session the issue of suitability of judges of local and appellate courts with the positions held.
