The issue of secondment of judges to two courts is scheduled for consideration

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” based on a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted upon the submission of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, a judge may, with his/her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialization to administer justice.

On January 23, 2025, a competition to fill vacant positions of judges in the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court was announced

The decision of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine of
January 23, 2025 announced a competition for vacant positions of judges in the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court and approved the terms and conditions of the competition, according to which:  

The qualification evaluation of judges has been discontinued

On January 22, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in plenary session considered the issue of terminating the qualification evaluation of a judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa City Yulia Sviachena.

Based on the results of the meeting, the Commission decided to terminate the qualification evaluation of Judge Yulia Sviachena for suitability for the position held and to confirm her ability to administer justice in the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa City.

The coded and decoded results of the cognitive abilities test of participants in the competition for the administrative and commercial courts of appeal have been approved

Please be informed that on January 22, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine adopted a decision approving the coded and decoded results of the cognitive abilities test conducted on January 16 and 17, 2025, by candidates applying for vacant judicial positions in administrative and commercial courts of appeal within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s Decision №  94/zp-23 of September 14, 2023 (as amended).

To the attention of candidates for vacant positions of judges in administrative and commercial courts of appeal

Please be informed that on January 22, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine adopted a decision to admit 203 candidates who successfully passed the cognitive abilities test to the third stage of the qualification exam within the framework of the competition for vacant judicial positions in the appeal courts, as announced by the Commission’s Decision

Interviews with a psychologist during the test of personal moral and psychological qualities and general abilities for 25 judges were scheduled

Please be  informed, that on January 22, 2025, the Commission decided to appoint the second stage of the personal moral and psychological qualities and general abilities test as part of the qualification evaluation of judges for their suitability for the positions held and qualification evaluation  in connection with the imposition of a disciplinary sanction – an interview with a psychologist via video conference for 25 judges.

The duration of the interview is up to one hour.

The issue of secondment of judges to Velykooleksandrivskyi Raion Court of Kherson Oblast is scheduled for consideration

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, based on a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted upon the submission of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, a judge may, with his/her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialization to administer justice.

The Commission Member Halyna Shevchuk visited the Court of Justice of the European Union

On January 21–22, 2025, a visit to the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) took place with the participation of Halyna Shevchuk, a Member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine. The visit was organized by the EU Project “Pravo-Justice.”
