Competition for the Kyiv Court of Appeal: One Candidate is Awaiting an Interview With the Plenary Session of the Commission

On January 29, 2026, at the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the positions of judges at the Kyiv Court of Appeal were determined.

Competition for the Odesa Court of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed His Ability to Administer Justice

On January 27, 2026, at the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the positions of judges in the Odesa Court of Appeal were determined.

Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed His Ability to Administer Justice

On January 26, 2026, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of a candidate for the position of judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, Volodymyr Musiievskyi confirmed his ability to administer justice at the Lviv Court of Appeal.

The Commission Recommended Appointing One Judge to the Position

On January 26, 2026, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the recommendation of Yuliia Burzel for appointment to the position of judge of the Yahotynskyi Raion Court of the Kyiv Oblast.

The suitability of a judge appointed for a five-year term prior to the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine (Regarding Justice)” must be assessed in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Competitions for SCAC and SACA: Candidate Profile

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine received 356 applications for participation in competitions for vacant positions of judges in the Specialised Circuit Administrative Court and the Specialised Administrative Court of Appeal. There were
268 unique candidates, with 88 candidates applying for positions as judges in both the SCAC and the SACA.

The Issue of Secondment of Judges to the Zarichnyi District Court of Sumy City Has Been Scheduled for Consideration

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges,” by decision of the High Council of Justice, adopted on the basis of a submission by the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice.
