Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed His Ability to Administer Justice

On January 19, 2026, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of the candidate for the position of judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, Andriі Kurylo confirmed his ability to administer justice in the Kyiv Court of Appeal.

The Judge of the Cherkasy Circuit Administrative Court Is Suitable for the Position Held

On January 19, 2026, at a plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the issue of a local court judge’s compliance with the position held was considered.

As a result of the session, the Commission adopted a decision recognising Vasyl Havryliuk, Judge of the Cherkasy Circuit Administrative Court, as meeting the requirements of the position held.

According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
