Competition for the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed Ability to Administer Justice

On November 04, 2025, at the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the positions of judges in the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Found That the Information Regarding the Inaccuracy (Including Incompleteness) of the Statements in the Judge’s Integrity Declaration Was Unconfirmed

On November 04, 2025, at the session of the Commission, reports were considered regarding information that may indicate the inaccuracy (including incompleteness) of the information and statements provided by judges in their declarations of family ties and integrity.

Competition for the General Courts of Appeal: Two Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice in the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal and One – in the Chernihiv Court of Appeal

On November 03, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of three candidates for the position of judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal.

One Judge is Suitable for the Position Held, While the Qualification Assessment of the Other Judge Has Been Terminated

On November 03, 2025, at a plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the issue of suitability of two local court judges for their positions and the termination of the qualification assessment of a judge was considered.

Regarding the Completion of a Practical Assignment in the Specialisation of the Relevant Court by Candidates for the Position of Local Court Judge and Judges Who Have Expressed Their Intention to Be Transferred to Another Local Court

The fourth stage of the qualification exam – the completion of a practical assignment related to the specialisation of the relevant court within the framework of the qualification exam for candidates for the position of local court judge and judges who have expressed their intention to be transferred to another local court – will be held from October 07 to October 31, 2025, at the premises of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine at the following address: 9, General Shapoval St., Kyiv.

Vitalii Gatseliuk, Member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, Took Part in the Conference “Rule of Law and Independence of Administrative Justice”

On October 29–30, in Warsaw (Republic of Poland), the conference “The Rule of Law and the Independence of Administrative Justice” was held, organised by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

The purpose of the conference was to discuss current challenges and practical steps to protect the independence of the judiciary, with a particular focus on the role of administrative justice in guaranteeing fundamental human rights.

On October 30, 2025, at the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, reports were considered regarding information that may indicate the inaccuracy (including incompleteness) of the information and statements provided by judges in their declarations of family ties and integrity.

Competition for Chernihiv Court of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed Ability to Administer Justice

On October 30, 2025, at the session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of six candidates for the position of judge at the Chernihiv Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

The Fourth Stage of the Qualification Exam Has Been Scheduled as Part of the Competition for Vacant Positions of Judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court

Please be informed that on October 29, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to schedule the fourth stage of the qualification exam (performance of a practical assignment in the specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, in particular its Appeals Chamber) within the framework of the competition for vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court, announced by the Commission’s decision № 112/zp-25 of June 03, 2025.

The Results of Cognitive Ability Testing Within the Competition for Vacant Positions of Judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court Have Been Approved

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has approved the coded and decoded results of the cognitive abilities test conducted on October 27, 2025, as part of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision № 112/zp -25 competition for vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court.
