Competition for the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal: Two Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice

On September 16, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the position of judge at the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

A Break Has Been Announced in The Interview With a Judge of the Circuit Administrative Court of Kyiv City

On September 16, 2025, the Panel of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to adjourn the consideration of the issue of reviewing the dossier, conducting an interview and determining the results of the qualification assessment of the judge of the Curcuit Administrative Court of Kyiv City – Maryna Boyaryntseva – for suitability for the position held, until 10:00 a.m. on October 10, 2025.

The Commission Has Begun Admitting Candidates To Competition For The HACC

On September 16, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, sitting in Panels, considered the issue of admitting 124 candidates to undergo qualification assessment and participate in the competition for vacant positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court, announced by the Commission on June 03, 2025.

Based on the results of the session, the Commission decided to admit 98 persons to undergo qualification assessment and participate in the competition.

Competition For The General Courts of Appeal: Four Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, and One Candidate in the Sumy Court of Appeal

On September 15, 2025, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of confirming the ability of four candidates for the position of judge to administer justice in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, and one candidate in the Sumy Court of Appeal.

Based on the results of the session, the Commission adopted the following decisions:

Expert Council Has Been Established

In order to assist the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in determining whether candidates for positions as judges of the Specialised Circuit Administrative Court and the Specialised Administrative Court of Appeal meet the criteria of integrity and professional competence for the purposes of qualification assessment, an Expert Council shall be established and operate.

Coded Results of Cognitive Ability Testing, Taken on 14.09.2025

Please be informed, that from September 09 to 17, 2025, 4,842 participants are undergoing cognitive ability testing as the third stage of the qualification exam for selection for the position of local court judge.

The coded test results for September 14, 2025, have been established for 544 persons:

1) did not reach the minimum passing score – 141 persons;

Please be informed, that from September 09 to 17, 2025, 4,842 participants are undergoing cognitive ability testing as the third stage of the qualification exam for selection for the position of local court judge.

The coded test results for September 12, 2025, have been established for 544 persons:

1) did not reach the minimum passing score – 135 persons;

Please be informed, that from September 09 to 17, 2025, 4,842 participants are undergoing cognitive ability testing as the third stage of the qualification exam for selection for the position of local court judge.

The coded test results for September 13, 2025, have been established for 544 persons:

1) did not reach the minimum passing score – 164 persons;

The Issue of Judges’ Secondment to the Novozavodskyi District Court of Chernihiv City Has Been Scheduled for Consideration

According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
