On October 10, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine conducted an interview as part of the qualification assessment of a local court judge for suitability for the position held.
According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
On October 17, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panels, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three local courts judges for their suitability for the position held were determined.
Based on the results of the session, the Commission took the following decisions:

On October 15, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of a candidate for the position of judge to administer justice in the Chernihiv Court of Appeal.
Based on the results of the qualification assessment, Andrii Chalyi was recognised as having confirmed his ability to administer justice in the general court of appeal.
From 6 to 8 October 2025, a delegation of representatives of the judicial authorities of Ukraine visited Riga on a working visit organised by the Judicial Council of the Republic of Latvia within the framework of the ongoing dialogue “Strengthening the Rule of Law in Times of Challenges: A Dialogue between the Judiciaries of Latvia and Ukraine.”
