Competition for the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal: Each Candidate Will Be Interviewed by the Commission in Plenary Session

On September 18, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panels, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the position of judge at the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission made the following decisions:

Coded and Decoded Results of Cognitive Ability Testing Have Been Approved

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has decided to approve the coded and decoded results of cognitive ability testing conducted on September 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2025, as part of the qualification exam for candidates for the position of local court judge and judges who have expressed their intention to be transferred to another local court.

The Issue of Judges’ Secondment to Two Courts Has Been Scheduled for Consideration

According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.

Testing of General Knowledge in the Field of Law and Knowledge of the Specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, in particular its Appeals Chamber, Has Been Scheduled

Please be informed, that on October 02, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine decided to conduct testing of general knowledge in the field of law and knowledge in the specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, in particular its Appeals Chamber, within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision
No. 112/zp-25 of June 03, 2025, to fill vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court, and to determine the schedule for its administration.

The Results of Testing Knowledge of Ukrainian Statehood History Within the Competition for Vacant Positions of Judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court Have Been Approved

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has approved the coded and decoded results of the test on the history of Ukrainian statehood, which was held on October 01, 2025, as part of the competition for vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court announced by the Commission’s decision No. 112/zp -25.

Ihor Kushnir and Oleksii Omelian Participated in a Meeting of the Working Group of the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court

On September 29, 2025, members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, Ihor Kushnir and Oleksii Omelian, took part in the discussion of draft laws on the establishment of military courts, which were considered at a meeting of the working group of the Scientific Advisory Council at the Supreme Court.

Coded Results of Testing Knowledge of Ukrainian Statehood History As Part of the Competition for Vacant Positions of Judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court

Please be informed, that on October 01, 2025, 158 participants were tested on their knowledge of Ukrainian statehood history as the first stage of the qualification exam within the competition for vacant positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The coded test results for 146 persons have been established:

1) did not achieve the average acceptable and passing score – 4 persons;

2) achieved the average acceptable and passing score – 142 persons:

from 30 to 35 points – 9 persons;
