On August 06, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, in plenary session, considered the issue of confirming the ability of two candidates for the position of judge to administer justice in the commercial court of appeal, one candidate in the administrative court of appeal, and one candidate in the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal.

Based on the results of the session, the Commission adopted the following decisions:

From July 07 to August 06, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine received documents from 205 persons who expressed their intention to participate in the competition for 23 vacant positions of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

On August 06, 2025, the First Chamber of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of submitting a recommendation on the transfer of judges to another court of the same level and specialisation for the administration of justice.

Due to the excessive judicial workload, the Commission decided to submit a recommendation to the High Council of Justice to transfer two judges to the Mykolayivskyi Raion Court of Lviv Oblast for a period of one year:

On August 06, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine considered the issue of electing the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Secretaries of the Chambers of the Commission.

As a result of a secret ballot, Andrii Pasichnyk was re-elected as the Chairman of the Commission and Oleh Koliush was elected as the Deputy Chairman.
Serhii Chumak was re-elected as the Secretary of the First Chamber, and Ruslan Melnyk was elected as the Secretary of the Second Chamber.

Please be informed, that from August 05 to August 08, 2025, testing is being conducted for 2,632 candidates as part of the second stage of the qualification exam within the selection process for the position of a judge of a local court. This stage includes the assessment of general knowledge in the field of law and knowledge in the specialisation of the local administrative court.

On August 06, 2025, the coded test results were established for 550 individuals, as follows:

On August 05, 2025, at the meeting in Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of four candidates for the positions of judges at the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.

OVERVIEW OF THE RESULTS

Please be advised that from August 05 to 08, 2025, 2,632 participants are undergoing testing of their general knowledge in the field of law and knowledge of the specialisation of the local administrative court as the second stage of the qualification exam within the selection process for the position of local court judge.

The coded test results for August 05, 2025 have been established for 547 people:

1) did not achieve the minimum passing score – 19 people;

2) achieved the minimum passing score – 528 persons:
