Competition for the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal: Two Candidates Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice

On October 14, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panels, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of four candidates for the positions of judges in the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

Competition for the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal: One Candidate Confirmed Their Ability to Administer Justice, One Candidate Is Awaiting an Interview with the Plenary Session of the Commission

On October 14, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panels, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of three candidates for the positions of judges in the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

Cognitive Abilities Testing Was Scheduled As Part of Competition for Vacant Positions of Judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court

Please be informed, that on October 14, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took a decision to appoint cognitive abilities testing within the framework of the competition for vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court, announced by the Commission’s decision of June 03, 2025, No. 112/zp -25, and to determine the schedule for its conduction.

The Results of Testing General Knowledge in the Field of Law and Knowledge in the Specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, in Particular its Appeals Chamber, Have Been Approved

The High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine has decided to approve the coded and decoded results of testing general knowledge in the field of law and knowledge in the specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, including its Appeals Chamber, passed on October 13, 2025, within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision No. 112/zp-25 of June 03, 2025, to fill vacant positions of judges in the High Anti-Corruption Court.

Coded Results of Testing General Knowledge in the Field of Law and Knowledge of the Specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, Including its Appeals Chamber, Within the Competition Announced on June 03, 2025

Please be informed, that on October 13, 2025, 141 participants (1 did not show up) took a test of general knowledge in the field of law and knowledge of the specialisation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, including its Appeals Chamber.

The coded test results have been established:

  •  did not achieve a passing score – 10 persons;
  •  achieved a passing score – 131 persons:

37 persons scored between 113 and 130 points;

47 persons scored between 131 and 140 points;

Competition to the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal: the Candidate will be Interviewed by the Plenary Session of the Commission

On October 10, 2025, at a meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in Panel, an interview was conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of a candidate for the position of judge at the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal were determined.

According to the results of the qualification assessment, Yuliia Kovalova scored 674.7 points. The Panel decided to submit to the Commission in plenary session the question of confirming the candidate’s ability to administer justice in a general court of appeal.

The Issue of Judges’ Secondment to the Velykooleksandrivskyi Raion Court of Kherson Oblast Has Been Scheduled for Consideration

According to part one of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges”, a judge may, with his or her consent, be seconded to another court of the same level and specialisation to administer justice by a decision of the High Council of Justice adopted on the basis of a submission from the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine.
